RETAIL WATERER

Longfellow/South Minneapolis Only

Schedule

• Part-Time, Seasonal (Approximately April 1st - Oct 15th)

• Shifts begin before Shop opening (typically 5:30-6am start time), and last up to 5 hours

• Openings only at our Longfellow Minneapolis location - 3738 42nd Avenue South, 55406

Responsibilities

• Water all outdoor plants, excluding houseplants, with a discerning eye for moisture needs: includes retail plants, storage areas, and decorative planters

• Anticipate plant needs based upon weather and environmental factors, record potential maladies

• Clip and clean up plants

• Start early in the morning and anticipate workload so as to be finished watering by store opening

• Move carts loaded with plants

• Keep the watering setup in good working order

• Longfellow Location - greet the kitties in the mornin

Required Attributes and Skills

• Extremely dependable, even-keeled and consistent

• Morning person

• Physically capable of hauling hoses, heavy carts, and dealing with weather of all kinds

• Perceptive 

• Flexible

• Plant knowledge - must identify groups of plants and their watering needs

• Time management 

• Ability to work alone, solve problems, ability to organize workflow

• Communication via text

Rate

• Starting pay is $17.00/hr
