RETAIL CASHIER

Schedule

• Seasonal Part-Time position

• Approximately mid-March to June 15th

• Around 2-3 shifts per week; approximately 12-20 hours per week

• Daytime and evening hours available

• Openings at both our Longfellow / South Minneapolis (3738 42nd Avenue South, 55406) & Northeast Minneapolis (2318 Lowry Ave NE, 55418) locations

Responsibilities

• Set up and run cash register, handling cash, credit card and gift card transactions

• Work both inside and outside in many different weather situations

• Pack and bag plants and products

• Assist customers

• Clean, restock and price products

• Assist sales staff

• Clean and organize

Required Attributes and Skills

• Friendly and personable, skilled with customer service

• Ability to stand, pack wagons and ring sales for at least six hours per day, with required breaks

• Ability to handle pressures of very fast paced environment

• Work well with a team

• Able to lift and carry 40 lbs

• Ability to work weekends during high season (Apr - Jun)

Bonus Skills

• Experience in retail or garden center

• Houseplant knowledge 

Rate

• $16.00/hour
